House in Tübingen, Germany

Our house, built in the 1920`s, is very comfortable and has got a secluded beautiful and big garden. For enjoying the sun in the garden there are many cosy places to sit or relaxing in a hammock or for example having barbecue.

We live on three stores. There is a living-room, a dining room, a working room with a computer and a piano and a separate kitchen on the first store. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a big bathroom and a separate toilet. The parent`s room with a small toilet is in the attic.
We have  computers with free Internet access available for your use..

We are the owner of the house, on the ground floor there are living two young ladies studying at the university.
Our home is ten minutes away from the city centre by foot

We have had four exchanges with England and France, all were wonderful experiences. For 2023 we are searching a change partner in europe!

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Stuttgart-Echterdingen - 40 km

Tübingen ist a very attractive town (75.000 residents) and has got one of the oldest universities in Germany, exactly since 1477. Therefore many tourists from all over the world are visiting Tübingen.
There are many old frameworkhouses from the middle ages in the city center but also nice shops, cafés and restaurants. Museums, galleries, sight seeing tours..... show the German way of life. The river "Neckar" invites to punting or rowing a boat.

There are many castles and impressive cloisters in the direct surroundings. The next mountains are the "Schwäbische Alb", 1000  metres high in a distance of half an hour by car.
The biggest lake of Germany, "the Lake of Constance" is 1,5 hours away. The capital town of Bavaria, "München" is within a distance of 2,5 hours by car. The next airport is in an distance of  30 min by car, all capitals from Europe are reachable in a few hours.

Our local waterpark is only 5 minutes away from home by bike, the tennis club is in an distance of 10 minutes, also by bike.

About Our Family

We are Markus, 64, teacher, and Susanne, 63, working in an administration with environmental duties. We have three grown up children, they do not live and travel with us.

We have had four house exchanges with families in England and France, all were very positive experiences.
We love to travel and to make sports like going out with the bicycles, walking and swimming. We are interested in culture, in languages and how other people live.
