Gemütliche kleine Wohnung mitten in Berlin - cosy little home in Berlin
Friedrichshain is an exciting, young district in the centre of Berlin. Our flat is located in a quiet street in the courtyard, which is more like a garden and is tended by three generations of residents. A large room, a small bathroom (shower only) and a small kitchen provide comfortable accommodation for 1-2 people.
Friedrichshain ist ein aufregender, junger Bezirk mitten in Berlin. Unsere Wohung befindet sich in einer ruhigen Straße im Hof, der eher ein Garten ist und von drei Generationen von Hausbewohnern gepflegt wird. Ein grosses Zimmer, ein kleines Bad (nur Dusche) und eine kleine Küche bietet 1-2 Personen bequem Unterkunft.

About the neighborhood
Friedrichshain has the most clubs and the youngest population of Berlin. We live a little off the party mile in a quiet and tranquil neighbourhood with lots of young families.
5 minutes walk to the underground, which takes you to Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate and the central station in just a few minutes. 7 minutes to the S-Bahn, which takes you to the airport in 40 minutes, 3 minutes to a small park. Surrounded by cycle paths with nice restaurants and a large variety of grocery shops and other retail shops.
Friedrichshain hat die meisten Clubs und die jüngste Bevölkerung von Berlin. Wir leben ein wenig abseits der Party-Meile in einem ruhigen und beschaulichen Teil mit vielen jungen Familien.
5 Minuten zur U-Bahn, mit der man in wenigen Minuten am Alexanderplatz, Museumsinsel, Brandenburger Tor und Hauptbahnhof ist. 7 Minuten zur S-Bahn, 3 Minuten zu einem kleinen Park. umgeben von Fahrradstrassen mit netten Restaurants und einer grossen Vielfalt von Lebensmittelgeschäften und anderen Einzelhandelsläden.

Katharina and I live mainly in the countryside and have this small flat in Berlin because we have lived there for 40 years. I run the Berlin office of a foundation for sustainable agriculture mainly from my home office, while Katharina sold her company a few years ago. Being in our mid-sixties, we enjoy the freedom of travelling and want to do this even more in the future. We have a grown up daughter who lives in Berlin and Sicily but would not be part of the package.
Katharina und ich wohnen hauptsächlich auf dem Land und haben diese kleine Wohnung in Berlin, weil wir dort seit 40 Jahren leben. Ich leite hauptsächlich aus dem homeoffice das Berliner Büro einer Stiftung für nachhaltige Landwirtschaft, Katharina hat ihre Firma vor einigen Jahren verkauft. Als Mitsechziger genießen wir die Freiheit zu reisen und wollen das in Zukunft noch intensiver tun. Unsere erwachsene Tochter lebt in Berlin und Sizilien und wäre nicht bei unseren Reisen dabei.
