A 3 bedroom-house and a big garden between the vineyards, the city of Nantes and the atlantic ocean

We live in a one-storey house in a residential area. We have a large garden with a swimming-pool in the countryside and not far from NANTES, 15 minutes by car or you can take a bus and then the tramway to go to the town centre.
Our home is composed of a kitchen, a dining room, a living-room, a nice veranda towards the garden, 3 bedrooms (2 double beds and one single bed), 2 toilets, 1 bathroom. There is also a double garage with 3 bicycles. We have a large garden and a heated pool.
We have two girls, Taïs is 16 and Célia is 23 soon. Célia does not travel with us any longer during summer time, we are likely to travel with one of Taïs's friend instead or another member of the family.
Our neighborhood is very quiet. We are non-smokers. We have a cat.
Our village (Le Bignon) is quiet and rather small, you will only need to walk 5 minutes for services like the greengrocer's, baker's or butcher's.
Bigger supermarkets or shopping centres are 10 minutes away by car.
Lots of places can be visited around, a car is needed though. You can easily reach the beautiful beaches on the atlantic coast, visit the city of Nantes and the vineyards around, visit the beautiful village of Clisson, and others... go to Brittany or to the attraction parks like the famous Puy du Fou (1h drive) and the Futuroscope (2h drive)...
Nantes airport is 15 minutes away by car.

About the neighborhood

We are situated in the region of the white wine « Muscadet », you can enjoy it at small producers' (10 minutes more or less). There are pretty rivers where it’s possible to walk along or bike (LOIRE, MAINE and SEVRE) and the famous Hellfest festival site in CLISSON, 20 minutes away by car. NANTES City is situated 15 km away from our house, you can visit Anne de Bretagne castle, the place where Jules Verne was born, the museum of art, Nantes Island where you can see the famous "machines of the island”, etc… We are not far away from the region of VENDEE which is known for its history (“Chouans” war). This history is well represented with the “PUY DU FOU” park (historical shows with people and horses…) and also a wonderful show at night. The nearest coast and beaches are 50 kms away with small and pretty villages (PORNIC) and then St Jean De Monts, les Sables D’Olonne or farther La Baule (the largest beach in Europe). There is also the town of La Rochelle, various islands like Ile de Ré, Ile de Noirmoutier, Il d’Yeu, etc…You can also visit a big park with futuristic attractions for children and adults which is the FUTUROSCOPE in Poitiers (2h00 by car). You can also visit one of the 7 world wonder : LE MONT ST MICHEL (2 hours by car) or the beautiful town of VANNES and the famous region of BRITTANY.

Guy et Agnès sont absolument charmants. Leur maison est parfaite pour des vacances reposantes avec vue magnifique sur le Lac Leman et les montagnes.

We did three exchanges with Intervac and six more on the other platform and this home exchange was excellent. Carine and her family were very nice and always very helpful. Communication was easy and smooth. Their house is as described, nice, cozy and well equipped, one cannot wish more. Last but not least, we did not know the area very well and we were positively surprised. Highly recommended. Thank you once again Carine!

L'échange avec Caroline et sa famille s'est très bien passé, la communication a été facile en amont et pendant l'échange. La maison correspond parfaitement à la description sur le site. La famille a pris soin de notre maison et de notre chat ce qui a été grandement apprécié.
