Detached house in Horsham, West Sussex
After 13 years in Bournemouth and 15 exchanges with Intervac, we have moved to our new home in Horsham! Our home is a detached house in a quiet residential neighbourhood of town. We have 2 double bedrooms available to guests, a family bathroom with shower, a dining room, lounge, kitchen and utility room. There is also a downstairs toilet. We have a large garden with a patio for eating outside or enjoying a glass of wine. The photos show the garden within 2 weeks of us moving in but hopefully it will be a lot more colourful next year! We also have two studies but these are our work spaces so won’t be available to guests. We have wi-fi and Netflix etc.
Horsham is a bustling market town with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to try. A little further afield you can explore pretty villages, the South Downs National Park and several National Trust properties. London, Brighton and the south coast are all an easy day trip by train or car, as is Southampton and the county town of Chichester. We are keen to discover new places or rediscover places we’ve been to before!
We prefer to travel in our car and using the ferries at Newhaven or Dover is easy however Gatwick airport is only 9 miles away.

About the neighborhood
Horsham is a market town 18 miles from Brighton and 31 miles from London. We live in quiet street a 20 minute walk from town or a 5 minute drive. A 5 minute walk will bring you to the local shops, pub and duck pond! The town is great for shopping, restaurants and cafes.

Nous avons été agréablement accueilli par Antony et Mandy. Antony nous a préparé de délicieux plats chinois: c'est un fin cuisinier. La maison était agréable, bien située. Nos hôtes nous avaient laissé une bonne documentation tant pour le quotidien que pour les visites ou promenades. Nous avons été en contact par SMS pour résoudre les différents petits problèmes qui se posaient. Nous avons retrouvé notre maison en parfait état avec de la nourriture dans le réfrigérateur comme nous en avions convenu réciproquement. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de cet échange
We really enjoyed exploring this area of Brittany. The house was in a quiet village close to places of interest and was lovely and cool during some very hot days! Good communication with Bernard and Brigitte before and during the exchange.
Excellent communication from our partners before and during the exchange. The apartment was as described on the site and in a great location. Our home was well looked after and clean and tidy when we returned.
Nice and large house, very close to the beach. The region is beautiful. We enjoyed our holidays there !!! Great communication with the family .

Our children are grown up and we now enjoy exchanges in Europe that we can drive to.
Although we have three sons, they are grown up so We are likely to be travelling as a couple. Occasionally our youngest son or our friend joins us for a week but we will always ask permission first. We will look after your property and invite you to enjoy ours. We look forward to relaxing and exploring new places.
We have used a church house swap organisation before and completed successful swaps in the U.K. With Intervac we have enjoyed our exchanges in Montauban, Domarin, Nice, Avignon, Fouras,Tavistock, Belgium, Normandy, Brittany and Tunbridge Wells.
