House in attractive area of Stockholm, Sweden
Our house is located in an attractive area close to Stockholm city center. The area consists of approx 400 houses, which were all constructed during the period 1938-1944, and designed in the same modernistic style. This makes it a unique area. Some years ago the area was formally declared a National Cultural Heritage, to ensure that the houses maintain their original features and character. It is a quiet and lovely area. The house is located about 500 meters from lake Mälaren, where there are several beaches, a yacht club etc. We also have several restaurants and a tennis club in the area.
By car it takes approx 20 min to Stockholm city center. The same if you take the underground, which is 5 min away. Or, you can take the bike, which will take you half an hour. We have a Mercedes C-class and several bicycles available for use.
Our house is on 3 floors. In the basement we have a separate apartment (kitchen, bedroom and bathroom), and a laundry room. On the ground floor we have a kitchen, a living room and a dining room. A lovely veranda leads out from the dining room. This is where we eat all our meals in the summer. On the top floor we have two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a balcony. Our house has all modern amenities, and has newly been renovated.

Stockholm is a lovely city with plenty to offer the visitor.The city is built on a number of islands. The oldest part of the city is called Gamla stan. Outside Stockholm we have a beautiful archipelago, with thousand of small islands, easily accessible by boat from the city. The Drottningholm palace, where the Swedish king and his family live, is located on an island close to our home.
Our house is located in an attractive area close to Stockholm city center, and 500 meters from the lake Mälaren, where there are several beaches, a yacht club etc. We also have several restaurants and a tennis club in the area.

This family is wonderfull, with a lot of experience exchange in France. They are very sympatic and very well organised, to pick the car at the airport, their home and also with our house and car. They have a ''spirit exchange'' and like guest. Their home was more that we imagine and very confortable, the présentation is good.
Britt-Mari and Tommie are very generous and welcoming exchange partners, and always of good cheer. They were very understanding and helpful when we were confronted with a few unexpected surprises during our stay in Stockholm. Communication happened with a smile. We also appreciated that their neighbours were informed about our stay; we immediately felt at ease and at home. Their beautiful and cosy home is exactly as described on the listing page.

There are four of us. Britt-Mari is a retired school teacher. Tommie is a retired IT manager. We have two grown up children. Albert is 30 and works as a nurse. Harry is 24 and works as account manager. We also have a fifth family member, Billy, a small pug. He stays with friends when we are travelling.
