New 3 bedroom, 3-1/2 bath modern home with ocean views 15 minutes from San Francisco.
As husband and wife architects, it was our dream to build our own home. We were lucky to find this vacant lot in Pacifica, a small quiet beach community just south of San Francisco. The main level with one bedroom, one and a half baths, the kitchen and living areas and a large deck with outdoor barbecue is handicapped accessible right from the driveway. Downstairs you’ll find two more bedrooms, two baths, a laundry room and a lovely garden with a shaded deck. The house is all electric, solar powered.
Keep in mind that coastal California can often be foggy in the summer, but you don’t have to far to find sun and all that San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer.
We sometimes travel with our adult children, Elisa and David, and sometimes just the two of us.

A bunch of introverts who love to explore new places!
We are a family of 4, but our daughter now lives on the East Coast with her partner. Our adult son David (26) lives with us now in our downstairs separate apartment (that can be opened up as an integral part of the house when he is gone). When he travels with us, the entire house is available, otherwise the area that is hatched in the lower level plan is not available. My husband and I are moving towards retirement from our architectural practice, still doing a few small projects while Bob is writing a book (a mystery novel set in the Bay Area), and Christine is currently serving on the Pacifica City Council as Mayor, which takes up most of her time.
We are introverts and love spending time in our home on projects and art when not working, as well as long walks on the beaches and in nature. We have a boogie board and beginner surfboard available. We are lovers of the ocean, and you'll get sunset views from our home whenever it's not foggy . Not every day is foggy in these times, but the California Coast is know for this "inversion layer" that comes in and out, our natural air conditioning. (watch out especially for June gloom, no sky July and Fogust!). You usually don't have to drive very far to find sun.
We LOVE to travel and try different foods and Christine is happiest when making travel plans!
