Our house is in a small, quiet village called Diessen-Riederau on the lake Ammersee in Upper Bavaria/ South Germany between the Alps and Munich.We offer you the upper floor with balcony and view to the lake and the forest and a large garden. (Ask for more photos per email!) Our area is famous because of the sites of cultural interest as e.g. the beautiful medieval district town Landsberg (15 min by car) or many baroque churches and monasteries (for instance in Diessen or Andechs) or King Ludwig´s castles. Swimming, sailing, hiking, biking are possible. We can offer you two kayaks.
There is a small train station (to Munich or Augsburg) but you can see much more by car, for instance Murnau, a small town where Kandinsky and other famous painters lived. Or the beautiful landscape with many lakes. And there is one of the most beautiful golf courses close to our place with a breathtaking view to the Alps.

About the neighborhood
Our house lies in a residential area close to the woods. It is very quiet. We have a lot of friends in our neighborhood who are keen on speeking languages as English, French, Italian or Spanish. So you could find help if necessary.Lake Ammersee is very clean and a good place for swimming or sailing. Or you could enter the big tourist boats for a trip across the lake. There are a lot of very good and cosy restaurants in Riederau, Diessen (4 km) and in the surroundings.

Huisruil is wegens corona na onderling overleg niet doorgegaan.
Unsere Tauschpartner waren ganz reizend, haben uns während des Aufenthaltes auch immer mit neuen Tipps versorgt. Wir fühlten uns sehr aufgehoben. Wir fanden eine schöne, sehr geräumige Wohnung vor. Der Kühlschrank war mit leckeren Sachen für den Einstieg bestückt. Ein Tulpenstrauß stand auf dem Tisch. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.
This home swap, our 25th or so, was a discovery in every sense of the word. Wonderful and helpful people, wonderful house and surroundings, wonderful region.
A house zo stil and clean with a lovely garden and a forest next to it. Filled with easthetic precision and art. A garden with two ponds and singing frogs. The Ammersee to gaze upon the shifting blue, green and gray. Alps outlined on the horizon. And on top of that two lovely helpful intervac-friends who left my house spotles. Who shared their special experiences in Amsterdam.

We are a couple of retired grafic designers and painters. Our two children are adult and live in Munich. We have a lot of friends in our neighborhood who speak English, French or Italian and could help you when necessary. We don´t have any pets but we are experts in cat-sitting. We did this in Avignon, Paris, Chicago, Norwich and in the Loire Valley. We have exchanged many times with Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia and the USA with Boston, New York, San Francisco.
We do also non-simultaneous exchanges.
