Beautiful Century home in the heart of Ottawa, Canada
Our house is in the wonderful capital city of Ottawa, Canada. In the summer the city is alive with festivals, farmers markets, parks, music and plays, restaurants and, as always, only minutes from Gatineau Park and thousands of lakes in cottage country. You can bike everywhere in this city on a designated network of bike lanes and paths. Our house is in the downtown neighbourhood of "little Italy" with access to the best restaurants, comedy clubs, theatre, the Rideau canal, aboretum, Universities - you name it, Ottawa and our neighbourhood has it. Ottawa is also an amazing winter city. Ice skate on the world's longest skating rink (7.8 kms) and enjoy the winterlude festival, skiing minutes from the city, or hiking and snow-shoeing in Gatineau parc.
We are offering to exchange our city house for the right house in our preferred destinations. The house is perfect for exploring our fabulous capital - parliament Hill, the national museums and libraries, the national art gallery just to name a few.

Our house is located centrally with equal proximity to 4 of Ottawa's most interesting and vibrant neighborhoods. First is "Little Italy" where you will find around 100 restaurants all within a 5 minute walk of our house. Similarly, the neighborhood of Hintonburg has a beautiful main street vibe with lots of pubs and outdoor restaurants about a 10 minute walk from us. Third is what we call the "Civic Hospital" neighborhood which,, as the name implies, means there is a world class hospital 4 blocks away from us surrounded by some of the most upscale housing in the city - mostly beautiful, large century old houses. We are 250 meters away from an LRT stop which puts you on Ottawa's brand new light rail system with access to the airport and the entire city. We are also steps away from Dow's like, the Rideau canal and the arboretum which means hundreds of acres of water and central green space to enjoy.

We are a professional couple with three kids - two in University and one living near us in Ottawa. We are very active travelers who love to bike and hike especially. We absolutely love the city of Ottawa and are happy to share all our favourite things to do here.
