A beautiful and spacious house from 1923 in the middle of Stockholm, Sweden

We have had three exchanges so far, and since it has been so good experiences we would like to continue this year also!
We can offer a lovely house from 1923 with 5 bedrooms, right in the middle of Stockholm. The house is renovated but still have some of its old charm. There is a nice garden where you can relax, use the trampoline and have a barbeque.The neighbourhood is very suitable for kids and there are alot of play grounds and outdoor activities around the house. In the house we have 7 beds; six regular beds and one comfortable bed sofa in one of the bedrooms.
We have a central location which gives you a quick and easy way to get everywhere in Stockholm with fast public transport connections or by car or even bike if you prefer. 10 minutes drive to the city, or 15 minutes by local transports or bike. 5 minutes walk to nearest grocery store and underground.If you arrive by car we have free parking on driveway, but no car is necessary thanks to the convenient public transport system.
Our house is situated in a well established idyllic suburb Enskededalen close to Stockholm. Enskededalen is Sweden's oldest garden city and consists of small detached houses with beautiful gardens most part built in the 1920-30's. Our house is however a spacious family villa renovated during the last 10 years. The location is idealic for a large active family that wishes to combine an easy home stay and explore beautiful medieval, yet always "trendy" Stockholm and the unique archipelago.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms for 4 persons. At the entrance floor we have a kitchen, 1 big living room with a fireplace and one bedroom. Downstairs you will find a large bedroom (with 1 bed, a big sofa and a tv) and a large bathroom with a relaxing area where you can use the sauna + jacuzzi.
And just in case, we have free fast WIFI if Stockholm wouldn't be sunny :)

Sobre el vecindario
Our house is situated in an neighbourhood, Enskededalen, with houses from the early 1900´s. Within five to ten minutes walk there is underground to the city, grocery store and restaurants. The bus is right outside our house. Nearby, just outside our garden, you find Skogskyrkogården cementary. Skogskyrkogården is from the beginning of the 1900´s century and a World heritage founded by Unesco, with beautiful surroundings for walking. Well worth a visit!
There are numerous lakes for swimming in the surroundings, some in biking distance. They all have fresh and clean water. The closest is Söderbysjön 3 km away in Nackareservatet, a large nature reserve with large forests to discover, and a golf coarse. Flaten beach is popular with a large sand beach.
In Stockholm you will find numerous of attractions, museums, restaurants, ferries to go all over the archipelago and good shopping, and thanks to the public transport system no car is needed. The Wasa museum is one of Sweden´s most popular spots as well as the Stockholm archipelago with its 30000 (!) beautiful islands.

It has been a great experience. The Eriksoon family left the house with all the comforts so that we could feel at home like ours. They marked with a post it the drawers available in each room for our clothes, leave enough towels for the bathroom and to go to the beach, and a fridge with food and drink for our free use. They left us notes with indications to visit the surrounding lakes as well as 6 bicycles for us to use in our walks. Throughout our stay, we communicated via SMS to verify that we were comfortable and that they were also comfortable in our house. The house was huge and with all the comforts, with a large and green garden in which it wanted to eat outside (if the weather allowed it).

We are a family of five, with three children aged 15, 20 and 22 years of age, who loves to travel and discover new places. When we are at home during summer holidays we enjoy go swimming in nearby lakes, take trips to the city or go by boat in the archipelago nearby Stockholm. During the rest of the year we enjoy skiing up north, taking long walks in the forests close to Stockholm and bring packed lunch to spend the day outside. To go to the theater or a football match is also good fun.
