California Wine Country Home - Sonoma CA
Father and adult son looking for a European home exchange (2-3 weeks) during the Summer of 2026. Our home is situated in the town of Sonoma - and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with private yards situated in a nice/quite neighborhood minutes from the Sonoma Plaza, wineries and fine dining. Pacific Coast 45 min., San Francisco 1 hour, Lake Tahoe 3 hours. We are interested in a home exchange in an urban or rural setting of Western Europe.
As educators, we are thoughtful, organized, and deeply respectful of others’ homes and communities. We value clear communication and mutual trust, and we see a home exchange not just as a practical arrangement, but as a cultural exchange. We look forward to sharing stories, experiences, and care for each other’s homes while creating lasting memories together.

Sonoma is a welcoming, walkable town that blends small-town charm with rich history and beautiful natural surroundings. At its heart is the historic Sonoma Plaza, filled with shaded paths, local shops, cafés, and landmarks that reflect California’s early past. The pace here is relaxed, and visitors often remark on how easy it is to feel at home.
Beyond the town center, Sonoma offers stunning scenery—rolling hills, open space, nearby hiking and biking trails, and quick access to the coast and redwood forests. It’s a wonderful base for exploring Northern California, with San Francisco, Napa Valley, and the Pacific Ocean all within an easy drive in our Toyota Prius.
What many people love most about Sonoma is the sense of community. Neighbors are friendly, life feels unhurried, and there’s a strong appreciation for good food, the outdoors, and local culture.

Lifestyle
We are a father-and-son duo with a shared love of learning, culture, and meaningful travel. I am a high school teacher, and my father is a recently retired teacher after a long and fulfilling career in education. This summer, we’re excited to explore Europe together—visiting historic cities, museums, and everyday neighborhoods that reflect local life rather than tourist highlights alone.
As lifelong educators, we are curious, respectful, and responsible guests who value exchange and connection. We are especially interested in a home swap with someone living in Europe, as we believe it’s a wonderful way to experience a place authentically while sharing our own home with care and appreciation. We treat homes as we would our own and look forward to a cultural exchange built on trust, communication, and mutual respect.
