The house is situated in a residential area of Victorian (1890s) streets, It is ten minutes walk from Archway tube and Highgate Village. There are small, but well-stocked food shops two minutes’ walk away, with many other shops and restaurants in Highgate, Crouch End and Archway ten minutes’ walk away. Public swimming, gym and tennis courts are also ten minutes’ walk away.
On the ground floor is a big living room with two sofas, a flat-screen TV and DVD player/recorder and a piano. The kitchen/dining room is large, modern and fully equipped. It opens out onto a patio and a small, pretty garden. In the garden shed there is more garden furniture and two adult bicycles. Upstairs there is a large family bathroom and a separate shower room.
On the first floor is another living room or “den” containing a second TV/DVD as well as a computer and a double sofa-bed. There is free internet access. Also on the first floor is a bedroom with a double bed.
On the second floor there is another bedroom with 2 single beds with a washbasin and a bedroom with a large double bed and panoramic views over London.

The house is located within walking distance of historic Highgate Village, close to the green, open spaces of Hampstead Heath and the lovely English Heritage estate Kenwood House (free entry), Waterlow Park and world famous Highgate Cemetery (where Karl Marx is buried).Archway is on the Northern tube line, three stops north of lively, trendy Camden Town, five stops from St Pancras Station with the Eurostar rail link, eight stops from Tottenham Court Road (for the British Museum and Oxford Street) and nine stops from Leicester Square with the theatre district, Chinatown and the buzzing West End. As well as the tube there are good bus links on double-decker London buses. For those looking to spend time outside London the major railway stations are easily reached by tube or bus and the M1 motorway is 10 minutes’ drive away.

Patricia et Andrew sont des hôtes très accueillants et nos échanges ont été très amicaux et sympathiques. Leur maison typique anglaise est très agréable avec une vue impressionnante sur Londres dans la chambre parentale et très bien située , nous avons passée une très belle semaine à Londres. Leur fille Lilian était présente et a fait preuve d’une très grande discrétion en même temps que d’une vraie sympathie. Bref un échange parfait, nous sommes ravis et vous conseillons les échanges avec Patricia et Andrew.
Vi hade fin kontakt via Whatsapp både före och under tiden vi genomförde bytet. Vi fick alltid snabb återkoppling när vi hade någon fråga. Läget på huset var bra och det var enkelt att ta sig till olika delar av London.
