House in Halifax , Canada
We love our home, our neighbourhood, our city.
We live in a 2 story (3 bedroom, 3-bath) house on a quiet, residential street. Our backyard is quiet and includes a back deck and BBQ as well as large green space & studio. Our kitchen & main bathroom & family room have been fully renovated.
We live in the quiet South End of Halifax, within a few minutes (8mins) walk of Point Pleasant Park and downtown (15mins). There are two universities nearby, which include large athletic fields and varsity recreation facilities.
Halifax (pop. 350,000) is the province of Nova Scotia's historic capital and is located on a peninsula, which makes for great views of the water, including stolls along the boardwalk that wends through downtown.
Anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes outside town via car are some of the country's finest beaches; dozens of lovely spots that explain why Nova Scotia is "Canada's Ocean Playground".

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Halifax International - 45kms
We live in an extremely quiet residential area called "the South End." There is a small park area on the Northweest Arm, located at the end of our street, A short walk through the woods -- or a slightly longer walk along the streets -- gets you to Point Pleasant Park, a 185 acre public park that wraps the southern tip of the city and was once home to a number of British forts. The Parks is filled with trails, and gives access to the water at many spots. Nearer to our house are two universities - Saint Mary's and Dalhousie. "SMU" is a 2 minute walk, while "Dal" is a 5 minute walk. Both campuses are beautiful and afford nice places to stroll, throw a ball, or attend a public-pay university recreation center (gyms, courts, etc.). Downtown Halifax is a 20-minute walk (3 min by Uber, 7 minute by bus - which stops at the end of our street). The downtown has many nice restaurants and cozy pubs. There is a very active day- and night-life in Halifax, including Busker Festival, JazzFest, SailGP, military Tattoo, pro soccer (mens - "Wanderers", womens - "Tide"), sunset cruises, and Comedy Fest (Mike Birbiglia in 2025). We love it here. You will, too.
