House in Barcelona (Sant Martí de Centelles), Spain
We're a family of 7 (58,57,30,28,26,23,14 years old) and we're looking for 2-3 weeks exchange from the 20th of July until the 7th of August.
We offer a big house in Sant Martí de Centelles (Barcelona). Our house is in a quiet area in a small village but only 40 minutes to Barcelona by car or 1 hour by train (the train station is just 5 minutes walking). The house is 240m2 and the garden is 656m2 which has a modern private swimming-pool.
Barcelona could be very interesting for you for its Gothic quartier, Santa Maria del Mar Church, Les Rambles boulevard, Boqueria Market, Olympic Harbour and beaches, Sagrada Família Temple and other famous Gaudí buildings, modernistic buildings, Eixample quartier, nice parks, squares and zoo, Pedralbes Monastery, Monjuic and Collserola mountains and of course a lot of famous museums : National Art, Joan Miró, Picasso, Contemporaneus Art, Tàpies, Football Club Barcelona, Maritimus, Cosmo Caixa, etc.
Apart from Barcelona you can visit:

80 km Brava Coast
80 km Pyreneés mountains
100 km Girona city

We had a really enjoyable stay - lots of space in the house and a lovely private garden with gorgeous pool. We could walk to the railway station in five minutes ( trains to Barcelona and Vik) and walk in ten minutes to a nice tapas restaurant. Very nice to deal with Anna and Xavi. Die Tauschfamilie ist sehr nett, das Haus toll und die Kommunikation war sehr angenehm!
La comunicació amb la família ha sigut molt fàcil. Ens hem posat d'acord de seguida i després, durant l'intercanvi també ens hem ajudat a resoldre dubtes sobre el funcionament de les coses de la casa i ens hem aconsellat mútuament. La seva casa està molt ben representada a l'anunci. A l'arribar tot estava preparat (llençols, tovalloles,instruccions, claus,etc). I quan varem tornar a casa nostra, tot estava net i endreçat. La seva casa, el veïns, els voltants, el centre de la ciutat de Berlín (a 40'), tot ha sigut una experiència molt interessant i recomenable. Animem a altres membres d'Intervac a intercanviar amb ells i conèixer aquesta part d'Alemanya, la seva cultura i la seva història.

We are a catalan family of 7 people.
- Xavi (57) is an electric engineer and works for a multinational company. He enjoys running, hiking, biking and collecting coins.
- Anna (57) is a nurse and works in a big hospital. She enjoys reading, listening to barroc music, gardening, swimming and collecting shells and stones.
- Ferran (29) is a Veterinary and he is working with horses in England. He likes reading, cinema, theatre, playing piano, geography, football and singing in a choir.
- Mar (27) is a Primary School teacher. She likes reading, whatching English series, playing piano, playing voleyball and singing in a choir.
- Guillem (25) is a Mathematician. Now he is doing a PhD in Mathematics. He likes reading, playing football, playing violoncelo, playing piano, playing chess, running, hiking and biking.
- Pol (22) is studying fourth year in Physics at a Barcelona University. He likes reading, playing football, playing chess, playing travessera flute, playing the piano and singing in a choir.
- Berta (13) goes to 2nd of Secondary Education. She likes riding horses, playing outside and swimming. She likes reading, singing in a choir and playing piano.
We are all non-smokers and we have 2 cats (Coco and Neula) that we ask you take care of.
We all speak Catalan (an old romance language) and Spanish. We also speak English.
We are very proud of our language and our culture. We are sure you will enjoy them!
