As we have 2 housing, the following will describe them both
A. A small (80 m2) cozy townhouse in Hinnerup - a very quiet suburb to Aarhus (the second largest city in Denmark). It has a modern interior design. It is small, but well-utilizes. It has a large south-facing terrace and a private carport.
B. A wooden cottage (105 m2) in Hals (northern Jutland facing the east coast). Close to nice walks in the surrounding woods and only 250 m. from one of the finest beaches in Denmark. The summer house consists of a main house, 75 m2 with 3 bedrooms and 7 beds, 1 bathroom, kitchen attached to the livingroom, wood-burning stove and also air conditioning. It has a newly built annex 25 m2, with bathroom og a sleeping/livingroom. All around main house and annex there are terraces, where you may catch the sun during all day.

About the neighborhood
A. The townhouse will provide a good starting point for trips to Aarhus, to the beach, to walks in the woods, to LEGO land (1 our drive) and other sightseeings ind midt Jutland.
B. The summer house offers wonderful nature, but is also close to Hals - a cozy fishing village nearby. Aalborg - Denmarks 4. largest city with a spectacular port area and many good restaurants is only 30 min. drive away.

Two seniors with interest in culture, good food, and nice nature for some hourly walks.
After many years of work in sales (Tom, electronic equipment) and daycare management and teaching (Ulla) we enjoy a calm life without a tight schedule. We enjoy books of many kinds, a walk in the forest with the dog, a good discussion with friends and our adult kids, togetherness with our grandchildren, a nice meal, art gallery visits, and certainly we enjoy exploring places that are new to us. We live in a compact semi-detached house in a suburb to Aarhus in Denmark, with space and facilities just adequate for 2 grown-ups and a small dog.
Much of our time we spend in our summerhouse in Hals. This is situated at the East coast of Northern Jutland. The woods starts just in the backyard and the sandy beach is just 250m away, - we love this place, and so do Uffe (our dog). The main summerhouse is fully equipped (3 bedrooms, bathroom, livingroom) and perfect for a longer stay, and in 2022 we added another building with bathroom and bedroom so we can stay there overnight while our kids and grandkids are in the main house.
When we were younger and travelled with kids, we enjoyed house-swapping through Intervac and we have exchanged homes in Sweden, Italy, France, Spain and UK and it has been a mutual succes every time.
We are looking forward to further exchange holidays, with or without our dog.
