Hello everybody,
together with our three daughters (13, 20 and 22) and our cat Lotta we are enjoying life about 30km west from Vienna in the famous area of the "Wienerwald". This is a very comfortable base to visit VIENNA ( 30minutes by car/train), SALZBURG ( 2 hours) or the world heritage of the "WACHAU" (with its wonderful wine-villages along the danube f.e)..
In our garden you can find places to relaxe as well as fresh vegetables, a swimming pond and a trampoline for the kids.
In our village, EICHGRABEN, families find everything that is important to survive (shops, friendly neighbours, wonderful landscape, playground, swimming pool etc).
After our intervac trips (Sweden 2013, France 2014, Denmark 2015, Spain 2016, Netherlands 2017, Great Britain 2018, Sweden 2019, Germany 2020, Belgium 2021, France 2022 and 2023) we are now looking for exchanges during vacations in February and August 2024. About the neighborhood
Our house is based in the middle of the "Wienerwald" which is very close to Vienna.
Our village, Eichgraben, has everything you need on a daily basis (bakery, grocery store, Post Office, public swimming pool,...)
The next train station is 10 minutes away by foot.
Vienna is 30 minutes away by train or car.

What a lovely, kind and decent family. They looked after our home, cat,and plants brilliantly. They were kind and open, and left little notes and gifts for us and our child. I'm sure the house was cleaner when we returned than when we left. I would recommend exchanging with the family to anyone.
Un premier échange très satisfaisant, nous regrettons de ne pas avoir échangé notre maison auparavant et avons hâte de recommencer ! Nous avons bénéficié de l'expérience de nos correspondants qui nous ont merveilleusement bien accueillis, conseillés pour découvrir les environs, transmis des bonnes adresses... Leur maison était tout à fait conforme au descriptif. Nous avons retrouvé notre maison comme nous l'avions laissée, avec, en prime, une petite surprise de la part de Johannes et de sa famille. Un grand merci à eux pour cet échange, ainsi qu'à Intervac pour la mise en relation.

We are a music loving family of 5: Monika (54) ist teaching at the gymnasium and loves books, johannes (54) is conductor and teaches choral conducting at the university of music in vienna(mdw).
